Logistics Manager

We're partnering with an established New Zealand business that supplies retail equipment and provides warehousing and third-party logistics (3PL) services to a diverse range of customers.

We're looking for someone who's smart, curious, exceptionally organised and enjoys solving problems. Someone who can bring structure to a busy operation, think ahead and identify opportunities to improve how things are done.

The opportunity

Reporting to the GM – Operations, you'll play a key role in overseeing logistics, inventory and 3PL activities across multiple customers and sites.

It's a hands-on role where you'll:

  • Coordinate freight, inventory movements and daily logistics operations.
  • Oversee warehouse staff and support the effective running of operations.
  • Manage inventory accuracy, stock control, reporting and data.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and freight providers.
  • Identify potential issues and improve operational systems and processes.
  • Support MPI, Customs and other compliance requirements.

About you

We're particularly interested in how you think, solve problems and approach your work.

You're someone who:

  • Thinks in systems: You naturally see how things connect and where improvements could be made.
  • Is exceptionally organised: You manage competing priorities without losing sight of the details.
  • Is curious and resourceful: You enjoy learning, working with technology and figuring things out.
  • Thinks ahead: You anticipate potential problems and take action before they escalate.
  • Is confident with people: You can guide warehouse staff, work with customers and manage operational challenges.
  • Takes ownership: You care about doing things well and continuously improving how they're done.

You'll bring some practical experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory or operations, along with confidence working with data and systems. Experience with ERP systems, intermediate Excel or 3PL operations would be valuable.

You don't need to have done everything before. What matters is having the right foundations, a genuine interest in logistics and inventory, and the motivation to grow.

Why join?

You'll work closely with an experienced, supportive operations leader in a collaborative, down-to-earth environment where people genuinely care about doing a great job.

There's plenty of variety, real responsibility and opportunities to develop your skills across operations, systems, process improvement and leadership.

Your next move

If you're naturally curious, highly organised and enjoy making things work better, we'd love to hear from you.
