Wanting to capitalise on the uptapped market opportunities, the business has created a new position for a Customer Growth Manager (Sales & Commercial focus) for their Retail division.
The role.
Reporting to the CEO and part of the Sales Leadership team, you will lead Sales, Account Management and large Commercial opportunities for retail. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement a sales & commercial strategy to identify and expand product sales within existing retail customer accounts.
- Drive a culture of continuous commercial opportunity-seeking by fostering strong relationships with major retail partners, understanding their needs and retail strategy.
- Define and execute a tactical sales and account growth plan aligned with business objectives to maximise revenue growth within the Consumer & Industrial division.
- Planning and execution of joint strategic business plans in collaboration with key customers.
- Relationship & Accountant management; deepening relationships with customers.
- Present and attend regular Sales strategy and planning meetings with the leadership team.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to enhance their ability to identify and convert opportunities.
The experience you’ll bring to the team.
We are looking for someone who will continue to grow the Retail business growth, from product extension, number of partners, and overall market expansion across NZ & Australia. This will require someone with an understanding of Sales and Relationship Management within Building and Construction products.
- You will ideally have existing relationships with key retail partners; Mitre10, Bunnings, Placemakers, ITM for example.
- You will be naturally curious and highly commercial, confident asking questions that will identify partnership opportunities and areas to expand.
- You will need to demonstrate strong sales structure & discipline, understand how to develop an effective sales strategy and a tactical plan for the team.
- You will be great at coaching & mentoring; and passionate about building high performance and lifting capability.
- There will be travel across NZ to see customers and to work with the team. This role can be based in Auckland or Wellington.
